The last fateful weekend before the, very public, financial collapse of two infamous entrepreneurs from West-Flanders, Belgium, in the late 1990s. The film follows their step by step implosion as they consciously head toward the inevitable ending and as they try to come to terms with each other, their loved ones and themselves. Structured as a psychogeographic voyage, the film explores place, memory, and sensation through the inner life of a poet whose sense of self gradually dissolves into cinematic reflection. Departing from conventional documentary forms, EVERY MOON IS ATROCIOUS invites audiences into a layered sensory environment where image, sound, and language operate associatively.
