Two women ahead of their time, caught in the war that changed the world. Artists, surrealists, lovers, resistance fighters. Based on a true story. Jersey, World War II. Vehemently opposed to any form of oppression, Surrealist artists and lovers Lucy Schwob and Suzanne Malherbe (aka Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore) decide to mount their own resistance movement when the Germans invade. They compose notes encouraging soldiers to rise up against Nazism, then disguise themselves and disseminate the notes throughout the island. They continue their operation for 4 years, while the German Command hunt for members of a large, organised movement.

Adaptation of Donald McRae nonfiction book 'A Man’s World: The Double Life Of Emile Griffith' Story of the life of Emile Griffith, the boxer who won world titles in two weight classes but is best remembered for beating to death Benny “The Kid” Paret in the ring during a live nationwide TV broadcast. The vicious incident occurred after Paret grabbed the buttock of his opponent and called him a homosexual at the weigh-in. In reality Griffith led a secret life as a bisexual man, but in 1962, such a thing was taboo and most especially in the macho culture of boxing.

After a spark of friendship is ignited, they take flight into the city, the story takes on a dreamlike turn - leading us to a faded old Bingo Hall in South London and ending up on its roof as the sun rises pink over the pale morning sky.

Ash, a young trans man, sets out to find his birth parents after being diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer. Along the way he meets vibrant drifter Rose who refuses to let him quit. Together they embark on a journey of discovery and whilst looking for one thing, find quite the other. "The story was born of my own battles with gender identity, a need to discover the truth within myself and fully embrace myself as a non-binary individual... “I wanted to see my community reflected on screen, which is something I never saw growing up. With many films and TV shows the queer experience is filtered through a heterosexual gaze and is articulated in heterosexual terms. It’s important that we make films that are truly reflective of our communities, and that LGBTQ characters are as complex and interesting as heterosexual characters.” Marley Morrison

Fashion designer Alexander McQueen experienced a spectacular but tragic rise and fall. The working class son of a taxi driver, McQueen rose rapidly from an apprentice on London’s prestigious Savile Row, where his clients included Prince Charles and Mikhael Gorbachev, where he soon developed a reputation for his immaculate tailoring skills. He would go on to design the wardrobe for David Bowie’s 1996-1997 tours, including the Union Jack coat worn by Bowie on the 'Earthling' album cover. As he developed another reputation as the fashion world’s enfant terrible, he would go on to become head designer at Givenchy, before launching his own self-named label. He was famous for his unconventional, highly stylised and theatrical fashion shows. Openly gay, McQueen’s growing fame and fortune also witnessed an increase in drug dependence as well as a slew of failed relationships. He committed suicide in 2010, nine days after his mother Joyce had died of cancer. Based on Andrew Wilson's biography 'Blood Beneath the Skin', the film follows McQueen and his creative process in the months leading up to his 2009 show where he stunningly re-worked his greatest designs from the past 15 years, providing an intimate portrait of the man behind the brand and a celebration of the genius whose designs were just as much art as fashion.

The funny, moving and complex story of flamboyant Irish-born entertainer Danny La Rue (1927-2009). La Rue was once known as the world’s most famous female impersonator. He had an acerbic risqué wit and was a familiar face to millions in the UK. La Rue hosted his own TV series in the 1970s and also his own Saturday night live show from the London Palladium. Alongside his glitzy public persona La Rue had a complex personal life, including a web of relationships with both his male manager and his devoted female costume designer.
