Synopsis

Breaking and Entering tells the story of a series of thefts - some criminal, some emotional - set against the backdrop of a changing London whose geographical and cultural landscape is in flux. The central character, Will (Jude Law), is a successful landscape architect. His young, vibrant company, which he runs with business partner, Sandy (Martin Freeman), has recently relocated to King's Cross, the centre of the most ambitious urban regeneration site in Europe. Their state-of-the-art office immediately attracts the attention of a local group of thieves. After one of the break-ins, Will follows 15-year-old freerunner Miro (Rafi Gavron) back to the apartment he shares with his mother, Amira (Juliette Binoche) - a refugee from Bosnia. With his relationship with Liv (Robin Wright Penn) - his beautiful Swedish partner - already in crisis, Will embarks on a passionate journey into both the wilder side of himself and the city in which he lives.

Call me Harry is a short about storytelling and self delusion. Harry is a storyteller. There is nothing that he loves more than to regale people with tales from his days in the theatre, however when he loses his wife his life falls into social and financial turmoil. Unable to afford a plane ticket to Australia to visit his daughter he starts to take out credit cards under the names of famous actors of the past in order to buy the friendship of strangers. Generally these tale of the theatre are not well received, however the one place where he is welcomed with open arms is the community centre where he goes to read to the elderly. He is a favourite of Mrs Holmes a particularly sparky resident of the centre. Harry's delusions escalate and he starts to pass himself off as film director Terrence Malick to gain preferential treatment at the theatre while all the time the credit card company is trying to track him down. When Mrs Holmes dies Harry is left enough money to visit his daughter, however by now the credit card company's net is closing in.

A full-length feature developed from the Academy Award-nominated short film. When art student Ben Willis is dumped by his girlfriend Suzy, he develops insomnia. To pass the long hours, he starts working the late-night shift at the local supermarket. There he meets a colourful cast of characters, all of whom have their own 'art' of dealing with the boredom of an eight-hour shift. Ben's art is that he imagines himself stopping time. This way, he can appreciate the artistic beauty of the frozen world and the people inside it - especially Sharon, the quiet checkout girl, who perhaps holds the answer to the problem of Ben's insomnia.

Not only their only son Jimi is all set to become a doctor but is going to get engaged to the girl his family likes, Simran, who has come from India. She comes from a respectable Gujarati family, is well educated, pretty and above all, the only daughter of a very good and old friend of the Chopra’s. She’s perfect in every way except one. She is not Jack, Jimi’s true love. With the engagement done and the wedding date set, the house being decorated and relatives, family and friends coming over, the Chopra family has never been so happy. Jimi can’t give himself to break his family’s heart nor can he give up Jack. Fate seems to be on Jimi’s side when a series of accidents and misunderstanding leads Simran to believe that Jimi is a father to a eight year old girl, Hannah. Optimistic that things will now change and he will be able to get back to Jack, Jimi makes no attempt to clean up the air. Instead, his family turns up at his doorstep to propose his social wedding to Vanessa, his landlady and Hannah’s mother. Mayhem breaks loose and confusion reigns all around. It all ends with the Chopra family welcoming Vanessa into their family. The wedding goes ahead as planned but with a difference. Will Jimi come clean? Will he tell the truth about Jack and Vanessa? Will there be happiness at the Chopra household after this?
