Synopsis

Following a horrendous and tragic accident one year, six girlfriends meet for their annual adventure in a remote part of the Appalachians for a caving trip into the arteries of the earth. Deep inside the caves, disaster strikes again when a rockfall blocks their route back to the surface. The girls learn that Juno, the leader of the expedition, who is always pushing herself that bit further, has brought them to an unexplored cave and that no-one is coming to rescue them. The group splinters and each pushes on, praying for another exit. But there is something else lurking under the earth - a race of monstrous humanoid creatures that have evolved perfectly to live in the dark. As the friends realise they are the prey, they unleash their most primal instincts in an all-out war against an unspeakable horror - one that attacks without warning, again and again and again.

These five are offered an opportunity to spend a week in a specially designed house, in which they will have ultimate power during set hours of the day, within their own rooms. Two of the subjects, David and Lucy, create an environment of 50s domestic tranquillity. Another, Charlotte, uses the power to gain knowledge and advance mankind. Another, Luke, is just looking to have as much fun as possible. There is, however, a fly in the ointment. The final subject, James Todd, is not who he claimed to be. The records weren't his. He is not one of the most balanced people in England. He's a borderline psychopath, and having so much power at his fingertips looks set to erase that border altogether.

She has a nice flat and a loving boyfriend and seems to be living a dream. Alan, a hard-working young doctor, is devoted to Jennifer and sees their relationship growing stronger day by day - especially with the news of Jennifer's pregnancy. From his point of view nothing could be better! Unfortunately Norah does not share his idyllic sentimentality.

Synopsis

Holly invites the stunning, vampiric-looking Vicki to take part in the documentary she's making about the weekend vampire scene, even though Vicki claims not to be a 'weekend' vampire. Soon vampire-style murders start occurring.

Holly discovers that Vicki is responsible for the murders and is devastated. Vicki offers proof that she is a real vampire, Holly finally believes her, and agrees to help her to feed while continuing to film her. Holly then discovers that Vicki is pregnant with a 'vampire' child.
As Vicki's craving for blood becomes more urgent, Holly finds herself taking more and more extreme risks for Vicki. The police are closing in and Holly enlists the help of Adam, a young weekend vampire who is in love with her, and they all escape to the coast. The vampire baby is born, and as Vicki and child are starving, Holly now sacrifices Adam to feed them. As the sound of police helicopters circling above the beach hut gets louder, Holly and Vicki must make some difficult decisions.

After a failed suicide attempt Dawn is sent away by her psychiatrist to recuperate. On a deserted Norfolk beach she finds a dying mutant mermaid. Dawn manages to resuscitate the creature, only to find it feeds on sexual energy and starts to produce hallucinogenic slime.
