Synopsis

Two families go on holiday to Germany together. Whilst the children are lost in their own world of innocence and discovery, secrets between the two adult couples begin to unravel. Both a love letter to Europe, and a study of a peculiarly British dysfunctionality, the film captures a golden summer of innocent childhood alongside the little tragedies of adulthood that define modern life.

Set in the Welsh valleys, during the 1950s, we follow a fairy-tale crazed boy who believes his Father spends every day venturing down the rabbit hole through Wonderland. When his father fails to return from work in the coal mines, he battles with coming to terms with his father's death.

Synopsis

A screen test for an adaptation of the ballet 'Giselle' as an ecofeminist thriller. Reimagined in a near-future, where Giselle and her friends have moved on from a failed metropolis to her mother’s rural village to “reset society”. An invasion of their successful community sets off a contamination of their new ecosystem with old power dynamics. Giselle’s death emerges as an investigation into mutability and multiplicity as a strategy for escape. Synopsis

15-year-old Lara lives with her father and her strict governess, Miss Fontaine, in total isolation, and is struggling to find an outlet for her curiosity and burgeoning sexuality. When a carriage crash nearby brings a young girl into the family home to recuperate, Lara is enchanted by the eponymous Carmilla. The pair strike up a passionate relationship, which strikes fear in the heart of Miss Fontaine, and a complex triangulate emerges between the three women. Local rumours of an evil supernatural presence fuel Miss Fontaine's concern for Lara's wellbeing, and with the exhortation of the family doctor, Fontaine seeks to put an end to the relationship for good.
