A feature documentary exposing the root causes of youth and gun violence within a Californian African-American community, and the scars left in its wake. Dante a teenager takes us on this brutally honest journey through Fruitvale, Oakland, where he explores aspects of his life; questioning the poverty, deprivation and abundance of guns within his community. Dante interviews local police officers, criminologists and local activists to give us the insight into the lives of many young black men living in contemporary American inner cities. Welsh Filmmaker Alex Melhuish gained valuable access to this Oakland community whilst he was living there as a student.

A drama based on events surrounding the infamous 1819 Peterloo Massacre, where British forces fired on a peaceful pro-democracy rally at St Peter's Field in Manchester. The notorious massacre saw British government forces charge into a crowd of 60,000 that had to demand political reform. The forces killed an estimated 18 protestors and injured hundreds, sparking outcry but also further government crackdowns. This was a defining moment in radical British history which also played a significant role in the founding of the UK's leftwing broadsheet newspaper The Guardian. Synopsis

Early 18th century. England is at war with the French. Nevertheless, duck racing and pineapple eating are thriving. A frail Queen Anne occupies the throne and her close friend Lady Sarah governs the country in her stead while tending to Anne’s ill health and mercurial temper. When a new servant Abigail arrives, her charm endears her to Sarah. Sarah takes Abigail under her wing and Abigail sees a chance at return to her aristocratic roots. As the politics of war become quite time consuming for Sarah, Abigail steps into the breach to fill in as the Queen’s companion. Their burgeoning friendship gives her a chance to fulfil her ambitions and she will not let woman, man, politics or rabbit stand in her way. A film about longing and belonging, set high up in the mountains above the Adriatic Sea. A city girl, Jagoda, visits her extended family in the Balkan countryside during the summer, awakening hope, love, and the sense of mystery. The story unfolds in a recently fragmented space, on the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia, and is mirrored in the narrative structure of the film, which is broken in two halves and an epilogue. The ghostly presence of the young woman creates a connection between the two families, divided by the newly formed borders, with no passports or umbrellas needed.
