"ORWO, is an excellent yet inexpensive 16mm film stock made in Eastern Germany and used by many experimental filmmakers in the past. I scratch off the image surface with a needle then sweep away the emulsion dust beneath the microscope... I used a low powered USB microscope purchased from a LIDL supermarket in West London to capture the image to computer. The deliberately scratched film originates from a 16mm roll used to make image masks for my film 'St.Paul's Cathedral Movie', processed at the London Film-makers' Co-op in 1972." Part & Parcel is an intimate conversation with unorthodox characters who have dedicated their lives to the study and practice of Yoga in different forms. A personal glimpse into the essence of Yoga through their unique vision and our own journey looking for answers. Is it a religion, a fitness fad, a scientific discipline perhaps? Along the way, we will take part in the practise of the most traditional Sri Patanjala Yogashala temple in Mysore and venture further down the coast, where Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion is practiced along with surfing, in the world´s first surfing ashram. From the pioneering academics in Britain to the Indian Swami living in a modern cave, we gain insights beyond the marketing stereotype and into the contrasting aspects of contemporary and millenary practices. Part & Parcel is a colourful collage of philosophy, history and personal paths into Yoga.

Synopsis: The Secret Life of Balloons explores the parallel journeys of a boy and his girlfriend at very different stages of existence. Left lost and believing they’ll never connect again, this uplifting short film asks questions about the boundaries of love, life and letting go. This is the first short film undertaken by sisters Lauren (age 18) and Nina (age 16) Graham. Inspired by the Australian Theatre for Young People's Fresh Ink playwriting development programme, which collects the best new monologues together to be performed as The Voices Project. Nina wrote the original monologue as a dramatic piece of creative writing for a school assessment on the topic of love and loss. The sisters then adapted the piece into a short film project that was undertaken during the School holidays as they waited for external exam results. Together they managing to raise and utilise a small budget recruit a great team of friends to help shoot, compose music, edit and perform the work. The end result has been an exciting journey and taken them in a very different direction from the original work. The finished work has both surprised and delighted them from an initial idea of loss and despair they have managed to capture an uplifting film of loss and love.

Shot in Shaolin, China and Birmingham, UK, a love story that crosses continents. All this wrapped up into an explosive mix of martial arts featuring the Shaolin Steel Jacket technique.
