Guilfest has been running since 1993 in Guildford, Surrey UK. Acts in previous years have included Paul Weller, Jools Holland, and Van Morrison. The Documentary covers more than just the music, with interviews, history of the music festival, musical acts, and a true insight into how an independent music festival is produced. A different angle on modern day music festival documentaries, cameras were given out to festival goers to record their experiences over the three days.

Synopsis

I Really Hate My Job follows the lives of five women working together in a busy Soho restaurant who have little in common apart from their jobs. During the course of one evening, the women discuss every detail of their lives, from fear of getting old to dreaming of doing anything other than working in a second rate restaurant with delusions of grandeur. The customers come and go, unaware of the real concerns of the women: the restaurant's growing rat infestation, arguments about the nature of art, a communist rebellion in the kitchen - and the frenzied anticipation of the arrival of a famous Hollywood movie star.

Kimmie is a weird kind of road movie that follows the journey of Liberian childs rights activist, Kimmie Weeks as he returns home from exile for the first time in 6 years. It is a very personal journey set against the backdrop of two countries pulling themselves out of war, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Kimmie was just 10 when war broke out in Liberia. He and his mother spent 6 months in a camp without food or medicines where hundreds died and Kimmie was almost one of them. It was this experience that led him to commit his life to fighting for children and, only a child himself, he spent the next 7 years campaigning. When he was 17 he wrote a paper exposing the government's use of children as soldiers; his life was threatened and he fled the country. He was given asylum in the USA where he had been for 6 years when Charles Taylor was forced into exile and Kimmie could return home. This was to be a trip looking at the issues surrounding war affected children but it was much more than that. A very likeable 23 year old takes on chaos, hope, old friends, presidents and his own demons to find peace- always with humour.

River Crossing is based on true story. A childhood memory of two sisters on a family excursion. Instructed by a dominant father to cross a dangerous river and return a stranger's belongings to the opposite bank, two young girls almost drown. A girl's voice narrates the main event but at the start of the river crossing, it is replaced by a woman's voice. This memorable day becomes the turning point of the girl's life, with no possibility of return.
