Abigail and Jack have been together for a couple of years, but Jack's behaviour is becoming more and more sinister. He takes a lover, Sian, and treats both women with contempt. Sian and Abigail find out about each other, and decide to turn the tables on Jack.

Short experimental video, featuring three sculptures by David Salkeld Shot at the North shields triangle, a regenerated residential triangle of old ship yard housing at Newcastle upon Tyne, intermixed with shots of the surrounding Tyne mouth area. To a sound track by the director Michael Salkeld to create an audio visual poem.

Synopsis

In September 2007, 16 of the world's best b-boys battle one on one in a disused power station in the heart of Soweto, South Africa, to determine who will be the next world champion. Turn it Loose is a film about this competition. Through the eyes of six competitors we leave behind any preconceived notions of what breakdance used to represent, and as the film digs deeper into their lives, we discover an extraordinary form of non-contact combat that has evolved over 30 years to become a truly 21st century global phenomenon, stretching the limits of physical capability and pushing dance itself to astonishing new heights.

This is a story about how one man is using his retirement years to improve his neighbourhood. For the last 5 years David has been walking around his local streets, with his dog Meg, picking-up litter and removing graffiti from walls and trees. He finds it difficult to pass neglected public spaces and feels the need to try and improve the physical and social landscape around him. His story is an example of a spirit and attitude that has often been eroded from our towns and cities as people keep themselves-to-themselves, feeling unable to contribute or affect their own communities.

A young goatherd in northern Uganda yearns to be able to read and write. But the odds are stacked against him. Forty years ago, tribal elders buried a pen, placing a curse on the written word. Unearthing the Pen is about a boy's struggle to reconcile tradition with his desire to learn.

Unravelling is the result of a unique film-making process. Internationally acclaimed Nitin Sawhney composed a new score in response to an original inter-generational poetic dialogue in Urdu between Sawarn Singh, a WWII Indian soldier who fought for the British in Burma, the Middle East and Africa and his grandson, Kuldip Powar. Working with this haunting score Powar directed an evocative and searching film.

A brief exploration of the life of a woman experiencing an emotional crisis, as we follow her through three different periods in her life. We watch as she distances herself, severing her closest relationships, and the attempt years later to recapture what she lost. Following three crucial periods in her emotional development from the birth of her love, until the moment where she tries to deal with the repercussions of her actions and salvage the damage she inflicted on herself and those she loved. A life in fragments, both in how we see the story unfold, as well as her emotional state.

Synopsis

Four friends travel abroad to renovate a remote house. Upon their outward journey they make friends with a fellow traveller and his timid girlfriend only to find them turning up at the house, uninvited!   All goes well at first as they enjoy the Continental sun until a drunken evening conversation turns bad and they see the true nature of their visitors. Unwilling to leave, events take a turn for the violent as the unwelcome guests generate a sublimely menacing atmosphere as events turn to kidnap and murder.
