Clara, a beautiful American opera singer seeks a fresh start in Rome. She meets Oliver, a disillusioned young English tour-guide, whose frivolous advances are an enticing but ominous breath of fresh air. With a sense of excitement back in her life, the two flirt with irresponsibility until the consequences can no longer be ignored: Clara becomes pregnant. Oliver lacks both strength and desire to face up to with their predicament. Alone and flustered Clara rapidly finds her world spiralling out of control, as the reality of her carefree existence comes tragically crashing home. The foreseeable cycle of events are overseen by the understanding Giuseppe, who runs a bar near the Vatican City. His brother, Luca, is an angry and frustrated tour-guide, who ironically feels threatened by foreigners. Both brothers sense the inevitable catastrophe approaching: both are powerless to prevent it. The ephemeral wave of expatriate romances rolls on. As Oliver leaves, another young idealist arrives. Clara is left to struggle with the sweeping delights and ensuing drama that the lifestyle inherently dictates. With Rome as their playground, the characters and events expose the deep composition of the Italian mantra. La Bella Figura is Italy's soul; the essence of appearance over substance.

Proud and determined, astride a beautiful white horse, Lady Godiva rides through medieval streets to protest against high taxes levied by husband, Leofric, Earl of Mercia. Into modern day Oxford where Jemima Honey, an attractive but quirky young school teacher, fierce and independent, sets out to resurrect her dead brother's memory through the 'Art Factory'; the place she has founded where youngsters can forget their troubles and enter the world of their imagination. Through a chance encounter, she meets the gorgeous Michael Bartle and is very much taken by his charms until she discovers he is the 'Godiva' man, a notorious play boy. Through his persuasive talents and high level contacts, Michael persuades Jemima to make a stand for her soon to be closed down art factory. However Michael is forced to lie to Jemima and is found out at the point of proposal. In a big turn-around Jemima takes the reigns and plans a publicity stunt to attract a five-year sponsorship deal for the art factory-riding naked on a horse over Magdalen Bridge on may morning. this culminates in a reuniting of all, laying to rest of family ghosts and 'the' proper proposal.

Synopsis

Lands End tells the story of Clare, a new mother with post-natal depression who spends much of her time sobbing under the kitchen table. On Christmas Eve in a desperate bid to escape her cheating husband Sebastian and get to the safety of her wealthy father’s house for Christmas, she enlists the help of two homeless men, Reza and Rory, to drive her from London to Lands End in Cornwall. Despite Reza’s lack of recent driving experience and Rory’s constant thirst for alcohol the two men eventually prove worthy escorts. The adventures on the journey including the pitstop at Clare’s Granny's house where Granny comforts Clare and treats the men as heroes, all contribute to her increasing recovery and the precious bond with her baby is formed. But when the journey is almost over a chance meeting with her scheming husband and his lover who steal the baby away, means Clare has to look to her own resources to rescue the baby and escape Sebastian forever. Christmas Day sees her well and happy and dancing on top of the table.

New Yorker Harvey Shine is on the verge of losing his dead-end job as a jingle writer. Warned by his boss that he has just one more chance to deliver, Harvey goes to London for a weekend to attend his daughter's wedding but promises to be back on Monday morning to make an important meeting - or else.  Harvey arrives in London only to learn his daughter has chosen to have her stepfather walk her down the aisle instead of him. Doing his best to hide his devastation, he leaves the wedding before the reception in hopes of getting to the airport on time, but misses his plane anyway. When he calls his boss to explain, he is fired on the spot. Drowning his sorrows at the airport bar, Harvey strikes up a conversation with Kate, a slightly prickly, 40-something employee of the Office of National Statistics. Kate, whose life is limited to work, the occasional humiliating blind date and endless phone calls from her smothering mother, is touched by Harvey, who finds himself energised by her intelligence and compassion. The growing connection between the pair inspires both as they unexpectedly transform one another’s lives.

This short film is a profile of four ancient London markets threatened with redevelopment: Spitalfield; Smithfield; Borough; Covent Garden. Two have already suffered the fallout of redevelopment; the other two await their fate and the outcome of planning applications for redevelopment. The film compares and contrasts and analyzes to what extent the marriage of market forces and local neighbourhood history has given us what we consider to be the 'bone marrow' of London life.

Synopsis

Moses and Chalkie are brothers trapped in two very different worlds. Chalkie never grew up, a childhood accident stopped the clocks for him when he was six, he's got an artist's touch and an eye bordering on genius, but not much else.  Mike the window cleaner is his friend, and has taken him in after one too many beatings from Moses. Mike looks after him and he may have just found a future and a way out of The Heights for young Chalkie, he's just praying Moses doesn't find out before tomorrow when the deal is signed. Tonight, Chalkie is out, just doin' his thing, adding his colours to the bricks and the slabs of Paradise Heights, where everybody is nice apart from his brother. To most around here, Moses is King of The Heights, his girls know that and so do the punters. The streets are his bloodline. An eye for opportunity and a cold ruthless streak got him to the top around here. But some deals go bad and even Moses answers to someone. If he doesn't come up with what he owes soon, the King will fall. Trouble is the punters aren't biting and the girls are nervous because a serial rapist is doing the rounds. Moses instincts have never let him down though and he knows Mike is up to something. Maybe Chalkie is the answer to his problem. What he doesn't know is the word is already out to take him down tonight. It's when you think it can't get any worse that luck usually has a part to play, and as the sun goes down over Paradise Heights, worlds start to collide.
