Mina has just arrived in a new city and is looking for somewhere to live. Her search becomes difficult and absurd when an estate agent makes her go through a series of bizarre tests to prove her worth. Mina eventually has to resort to seduction to be awarded a flat.

When Stevie meets Neil on the day he comes to deliver her new kitchen, it's already too late for love at first sight. Stevie's already five minutes pregnant by her Italian footballer husband Andrea; and it's too late for Neil too - his wife Jenny has already sent off for an African child to adopt. JOSIE loses her lover JAMES in a car accident, and decides to break or bend whatever rules she has to to get him back. Haunted by memories of JAMES, JOSIE uses every means in her power to clone him. He accuses her of using him to replace her old lover, but realises there is more to the situation than that. Disgusted with JOSIE, he leaves her, despite her protests, once again alone.
