When Tony is told off for stealing a pencil, his ten year-old logic seethes at the injustice. What course of action is open to him other than to inspire a juvenile revolt? With truth justice and his comrade pupils by his side, what can possibly stop him?

Synopsis

Julius (Julian Guyonnet), has just been released from prison. He has served 7 years for murder. On release, the conflicts within him makes him think he is going crazy. The world has changed. Julius finds himself trapped in a world more confining than his cell life. Disoriented and confused he goes deeper and deeper down a road of fear and inner conflict. A few weeks after release, Julius meets Radha (Suchitra), on the Queens Golden Jubilee Bridge. Radha has plans for her own life but Julius falls in love at first sight with her. Just as Julius transforms and breaks away from his past he is diagnosed as having cancer. He has only a few weeks to live and treatment will be painful with no guarantees. Radha, on the other hand does not know of Julius health problems, and rejects his love for her, indicating she wants to pursue a spiritual life. Julius decides to die, a few cry as Julius leaves this world. 5 years later - Well you will have to watch Destiny! A gripping tale of personal discovery and love.

Destricted is the first compliation of its kind, a series of short films created by seven of the world's most provocative artists and filmmakers - Matthew Barney, Larry Clark, Richard Prince, Sam Taylor-Wood, Marina Abramovic, Marco Brambilla and Gaspar Noé.   Revealing the diverse attitudes by which we represent ourselves sexually, Destricted explores the intersection of art and pornography. By highlighting controversial issues about the representation of sexuality in art, the seven filmmakers question whether art can be disguised as pornography, and pornography as art or as something else altogether.   The result is a collection of explicit, stimulating, challenging, provocative, strange and sometimes humorous scenarios that leave it up to the viewer to decide. As compelling and contentious within the art world, as in the film industry, Destricted was among Artforum magazine's 'Best of 2005', an official selection for the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and the 45th International Critics' Week at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.  Destricted's first public screening will be at Tate Modern, London in September 2006 to mark its release on DVD and digital platform viewing.
