As the camera looks out through a barred window and the clock strikes four in a Swiss city, the death of Yasser Arafat provides the starting point for a journey back in time. Throwing Stones is the third video in the Hotel Diaries series, a collection of late-night recordings made in foreign hotel rooms which relate personal experiences to contemporary world events.

Set in a 19th-century European village, this stop-motion, animated feature follows the story of Victor, a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride, while his real bride, Victoria, waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colourful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world, or the next, that can keep him away from his one true love. It’s a tale of optimism, romance and a very lively afterlife, told in classic Tim Burton style.
Two farmer brothers Paddy and Joe unwittingly lead an entire village in the North West of Ireland into a manic search for an elusive bird desperately required by a pompous English film crew.
On a hot July afternoon, a girl wanders away from a house, towards a deserted pool of water. Her body is recovered the next day. Thirty years later, as Allon White lay dying of leukemia, he drew upon memories of his sister's death and the landscape of his childhood. These fractured recollections are the inspiration for Too Close To The Bone.
South London brothers Vic and Baz are challenged to a car race around the docks one night. They 'borrow' a car from the local garage, but only succeed in crashing it into the Thames. To pay for the car, garage owner Frankie sends them to work nights at his cleaning company in the city.
Vic soon realises that the paper they shred every night is potentially worth a fortune, and their trading days begin.
Vic and his brother are in their element with cars, girls and champagne lifestyles, but their high profile draws the attention of the 'establishment'. Who will be the winner when all the dealing's done?
The action of this short, comic film noir unfolds as Mike explains how he's come to be buried alive. It's a tale of the underworld, in more ways than one, as cross and double-cross lead to a trip to the countryside that is anything but a picnic.
Tatjana dreams of escaping St Petersburg, and thinks she has found a man who can take her away. Meanwhile in Mexico City, Champinon is overshadowed by his confident, good-looking best friend and struggles to find himself a girlfriend. In Los Angeles, Asha discovers the man of her dreams has been cheating on her, and in Kenya, Matthew rebels against his religious upbringing by reaching into Nairobi's burgeoning hip hop culture, attracting swift discipline from his father.
The heat is on and our cast of characters react to the building pressure to create Transit: Tatjana leaves Russia for Mexico City in search of her lover, and Asha for Nairobi to shoot a documentary for her graduation project. In their new locations our characters meet and our four stories become two when Tatjana finds Champinon and Asha finds Matthew.
Love follows but their relationships are not as simple as they first appear, as we discover that all their stories are interlinked.
If you're going to give people a great deal of power, you need to know that they can handle it. To test an experimental implant that gives people complete control over their environment, a secret agency assembles five strangers. According to their reading habits, employment histories and shopping records, they are five of the most balanced people in England.
These five are offered an opportunity to spend a week in a specially designed house, in which they will have ultimate power during set hours of the day, within their own rooms. Two of the subjects, David and Lucy, create an environment of 50s domestic tranquillity. Another, Charlotte, uses the power to gain knowledge and advance mankind. Another, Luke, is just looking to have as much fun as possible. There is, however, a fly in the ointment. The final subject, James Todd, is not who he claimed to be. The records weren't his. He is not one of the most balanced people in England. He's a borderline psychopath, and having so much power at his fingertips looks set to erase that border altogether.

Sam (93), Eric (87) and Amos (86) were among those who stayed on after the war to make new lives in a country where, for better or worse, the colour of their skin marked them out. Newly discovered archive, long-cherished memories and a last reunion are intertwined in this lyrical and moving documentary testament.
