A power cut stops them playing their video games so they have to rely on their imaginations for entertainment. Inventing their own adventures they embark on a journey of discovery aboard their homemade go-cart as Jim hatches a plan to stop his parents divorcing. However a newcomer to the road, Jack, challenges the boy's friendship but together they inadvertently find themselves on a mission to save Christmas - in July.
