Synopsis
Tantra, a spiritual path focusing on energy and liberation, adds another layer to Nepal's spiritual landscape. Unlike patriarchal traditions, Tantra celebrates women's sexuality, emphasizing mutual enjoyment and viewing the body as a sacred temple. Within this matriarchal framework, six genders are recognized, promoting a more inclusive understanding of human diversity.
Kathmandu's labyrinth of temples, structures, and symbols offers glimpses into a bygone era when wise women possibly ruled and protected society, and when Tantra and other spiritual practices flourished. However, invading patriarchal forces have rewritten Nepal's history, obscuring its rich and diverse spiritual heritage, leaving many unaware of their profound legacy.

Driven by a recurring urge to encounter strangers with her camera, the filmmaker begins to film her solitary Greek Cypriot neighbour Pete in the tower block in London where they both live. Around the same time, her father in Denmark receives a cancer diagnosis requiring her to spend more time with him. As her father gradually slips back into the depression that made him absent when she was a teenager, she feels a need to document this transition. Her compulsion to enter into Peteβs life and to film him echoes with her desire for understanding her fatherβs experience of isolation and loneliness, as well as her own relationship to it. ALL THESE SUMMERS asks questions about responsibility in life and in film whilst intimately confronting the complexities of the daughter-father and filmmaker-subject relationship. Their bold, nonviolent resistance became a powerful symbol of feminist and anti-nuclear activism - a story of courage that still resonates today! Fast forward to now, and πππ§ππ₯π ππ§π π«π² ππ¨π¦ππ§ tells this story through the eyes of a new generation of young activists as they retrace the footsteps of the original protesters. Unaware of the longest female-led campaign in British history, a new generation of young female activists is standing up to fight for the issues of their time, as well as being teenagers and finding their place in a turbulent world. Meet three fearless young women, Poppy (16), Xanthe (17), and Evie (19) who embark on a 110-mile 40th anniversary march to retrace the footsteps of Greenham Common's pioneering female protesters. Through powerful intergenerational exchanges with their activist counterparts, the film reveals a journey of self-discovery and a timely narrative of feminist activism. As nuclear tensions rise globally, their story becomes urgently relevant for today. A coming-of-age documentary that sparks conversations about hope, action and change.
