The story centers around four thirty-something guys who set out on their motorcycles, clocking up miles in an attempt to outrun their age and their middle-class lifestyles. One night they set up camp and reminisce over their wasted youth. The following morning they discover an ominous looking caravan parked nearby. Within minutes, an idiotic prank turns into kidnap, frightening brutality and a race for survival which not only poses a number of moral dilemmas but makes us question who the bad guys really are...

Socially-challenged hitman Charles lives in Cannes and wants to retire with a yacht and a woman in tow. He has no experience with either until he lets his cleaning lady (delectable Essex-girl Lisa) into his life, but he doesn't bank on her vile boyfriend Denny or con-artists Simon and Ray stealing a two million quid nest egg from the boot of his car. Charles hunts them down across the Cote d'Azur whilst pursued by his rival Clancy who is incensed by the fact that Charles might actually be retiring.

Sami, a Syrian refugee in the UK, and Bryony, an aimless young librarian, embark on a highly personal quest to preserve a bell from a demolished Christian church. What begins as a civic protest quickly becomes a criminal case when they accidentally near fatally injure a security guard, and find themselves on the run from the police. However, our accidental heroes’ fate is sealed by a kindly police sergeant who is moved by their mission, and our odd-couple achieve their goal of saving the bell and reminding the town they both call home about the importance of remembering its own story.
