Synopsis

Tim lives in a greenhouse suspended by a crane above the city. He has two wishes in life; to steal the office plant next to the water cooler at work, and meet Francesca the sex phone worker he calls each day from a phone box in the street.

Adage is a ballet term which refers to a slow and graceful sequence of movements - in this film artist/ filmmaker Jack Barrett seeks to juxtapose this with disorientating abstraction caused by process and editing. Barrett utilises risograph, mono-print, shadow projection and manual point tracking to create varying levels of abstraction, in turn playing with our associated perception of movement.
