This comedy takes a riotous look at small town Welsh country life centered around competing funeral homes.<br /> <br /> Boris Plotz, Director of Plotz Funeral Homes, dreamed of only two things as a young boy... dancing and Betty. Betty secretly loved Boris, but could not fight her father's wishes, so she was married off to a gold digger. Boris gave up his dreams and took over the family's undertaking business. Everything has remained status quo in their lives until Betty's mother-in-law dies. Boris and Betty are thrust together again and as they discuss the funeral arrangements for Betty's mother-in-law, the old spark is rekindled.<br /> <br /> Her funeral will be held at Plotz Funeral Homes, much to the chagrin of rival funeral director, Frank Featherbed. Featherbed, an American, is determined to revolutionise the undertaking business in England through the innovation of 'theme' funerals.<br /> <br /> Boris discovers that the only obstacle between their love for one another, is her marriage to the two-timing Mayor. In a desperate bid for happiness Boris and Betty decide to stage her death and run away together.

Seventeen year old Justine (Laura Fraser) is fed up with the lack of success she has with guys. It seems as though the boys have it easier. She's ready to take that big step, but with whom? To ensure she chooses the right candidate - her 'Mr Barcode' - Justine enlists the help of her worldly-wise best friend Fran (Marcelle Duprey). Alex (Kieran O'Brien), the school stud is the obvious choice. So together, Justine, Fran and their geeky friend Chas (Luke De Lacey) hatch a plot to get Alex to a computer show where he is bound to fall for Justine's charms. Only things don't go according to plan! At the last moment, Alex abandons the plotting trio in order to go out with the man-eating Hoover (Natasha Bell).<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> A deflated Justine wanders through the great halls while Chas is in his perfect world. None of the excitement of the show can soothe the rejection she feels until she is enticed into the make-over machine, the Narcissus. Their celebrations are cut short however when Jackie discovers that Dawn has a tumour and only a short time left to live.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Dawn decides against further treatment and is determined to enjoy the time she has left. Leaving startled families behind, the two women set off to fulfil a lifetime ambition and head off to Las Vegas.
