A Visit to Grandpa’s A Visit to Grandpa’s

Director: DJ Caruso

Year:

A VIST TO GRANDPA'S is a whimsical, heart-stirring tale based on Dylan Thomas’s classic short story. When a lonely boy is sent to spend the summer with his wildly eccentric grandfather in the countryside, he expects boredom but finds magic instead. Grandpa is nothing like he imagined: impulsive, outrageous, and full of mysterious stories that blur fact and fantasy. As the days stretch on, mischief turns to meaning, and their unexpected bond becomes a lifeline for them both. With Hopkins set to deliver a career- defining performance, this is a funny and deeply moving journey through memory, imagination and the strange magic of family.

Students in exam hall Cost of Living

Director: Ryan Hogan

Year: 2025

After receiving divorce papers from her husband, disgraced journalist Jayne moves in with her neurotic daughter Robin (a student working part-time at a charity call centre) and resumes an affair with a former colleague in hope of restarting her life in London. Learning that her husband Martyn intends to remarry, Jayne initially refuses the divorce to pressure him into taking on her debts in the settlement. Despite her mother’s tendencies to lie and steal, Robin sides with Jayne against her over-indulgent father. Alarmed by Robin and Jayne’s increasing emotional and financial co-dependence, Martyn finally takes the debt, and Jayne disappears. Robin suffers an emotional breakdown during an exam, and moves home with Martyn. Years later, Jayne is remarried and embezzling money from her job as an accountant at a charity.
