With the constant threat of German sniper fire they are forced to help each other back through the mud, smoke and destruction of No Man's Land to the safety of the British trenches. All around them the sounds of war rage.

With the Falklands War as a backdrop, the film follows Geoffrey as he meets his best friends Mother (May) and tells her the painful truth about her dead son.
