"Romance, science and conspiracy in the 20th century."

When Erica Thomas died in 2004 she left behind a vast collection of family photos, films, documents and objects dating back to the 1910s. Increasingly lonely in the years after her husband’s early death in 1973, this archive had become her defence against a future too painful to face and revealed experiences her children knew nothing of.

Erica was born in Hungary in 1933 and came to England in 1938 but, despite her private schooling and studies at Cambridge and Oxford, she struggled to become English and to belong. Always feeling herself the outsider, her career nonetheless drew her deep into the hidden recesses of Cold War science; increasingly her internal psychological struggles reflected the trauma of world events.

Spanning 70 years, travelling from Romania to Britain, via America, Antarctica and outer space, Voyageuse is a haunting portrayal of childhood, work, love, loss and grief, revealing one woman's ordinary life, lived through extraordinary times.

The Devil’s Plantation is a haunting psychogeographic journey into the past; a search for the magic in ordinary places.
In the 1980s archaeologist Harry Bell came to believe that Glasgow - a city built and re-built on over centuries - was laid out to a hidden design. For years he investigated the lost corners and invisible history of the landscape, plotting his 'Secret Geometry'.
Unknown to Harry, psychiatric patient Mary Ross also wandered the city, visiting many of the same significant places. Her medical case file reveals a poignant quest to understand her troubled past and present.
The Devil's Plantation unites the lives of these two strangers. By retracing their steps to complete the work Harry left unfinished at the time of his death, The Devil's Plantation tells a timeless story of how we all live.

When the stakes are this high, does anyone win? A thrilling and complex drama, Solid Air is set in the twin worlds of litigation and high-stakes gambling.
Robert Houston, facing an untimely death from asbestosis, finds the courage to pursue a civil case against his former employers. To the chagrin of Nicola Blyth, his young, ambitious lawyer, Robert rejects an out-of-court settlement offer. As the case becomes ever more protracted, Robert's suspicions are aroused with the sudden arrival of Robert Junior, his only son and a compulsive gambler, who soon takes up his father's quest for justice.
Beneath Junior's altruism lies an uncomfortable truth. In debt and on the run from wealthy businessman, John Doran, following a disastrous loss at the poker table, Junior's only hope is to get his hands on his father's settlement. But hope, like luck, is in short supply. As father and son set out to find a witness to testify on Robert's behalf, suspicion turns to torment as Robert learns of his son's true motives. As the story unfolds, the true cost of Junior's betrayal is revealed.
