Synopsis

Patrick Wright is a little boy being bullied at school. His father is absent and his heart broken mother struggles through every day life contending with her longing. On his birthday Patrick receives a present from a mysterious source, the contents of which teach him something extraordinary.

As they wait for the ceremony to begin, small details – a trembling hand, a whispered joke, a fleeting moment of doubt – reveal the emotional stakes beneath the surface.
