Project Detail

Popstar Junkie

Synopsis

A cut and paste musical film recording. Roxanne is obsessed with Nick the popstar. This is an excursion into an obsessive mind; a portrait of an imagination in overdrive; a memory saturated with desire; a fantasy fuelled by paranoia and jealousy. Popstar Junkie represents a distorted internal world highlighted by a scientific soundscape of lo-fi atmospheres, soundbites, hip hop breaks and bass arranged by Patrick Carpenter.
