Generation Britpop is Matthew J Gunn's short festival film, a short spin off from his proposed Britpop TV Serial. Britpop explodes into the British conscience summer of 1994. As group of students prepare to move away from home for the first time, they film video blogs of themselves the day before they leave to University. Loner Matt wants to escape the one horse town he grew up in, innocent Linda is haunted by her past actions, Steve's confused to who the mirror says he is, an angry James calls for 'surf up' and artist Marie dances naked across the city.
