Stranger Than Kindness

Synopsis

Estonia. Fifteen year old Axel borrows his father's BMW and sells alcohol to a group of English kids new in Tallinn on an exchange visit. His best mate, Tanel, is in for the ride but has to get rid of a French kid, nicknamed 'Pretty boy'. An English boy, 'Onion', has fallen for an Estonian beauty but how to seduce her? Meanwhile on the edge of the city, Jenny and her friends get hopelessly lost in a wood and accept a lift from a stranger.

Stranger Than Kindness is a feature about trust and friendship, risk-taking and growing. Both comic and unsettling in turn, the film boasts some outstanding performances. A small gem of a film. 'A breath of fresh air' Teressa Cavina, Rome Film Festival.
