Synopsis

Ivan Ilyich is a magistrate in the late 19th century Russian empire. After an innocuous injury, Ivan's health deteriorates, and he is forced to come to terms with death. He looks back on his once illustrious career, his relationships, his worldview. Was that all how it ought to have been?
