In 2008 the Indian Government launched an initiative to train 500 million of the rural poor to work in tits growing industrial sector; a policy that new prime minister Nerendra Modi intends to continue. This is the story of two village girls caught up in India's rapid expansion into the globalised world. Jungle Sisters follows best friends Bhanu and Bhuntu as they make the journey of their lives. Travelling 1000 miles to find a new future in Modi's business-friendly India, they take their place in the ranks of factory workers. But as the reality of life on the factory floor forces them to make a dramatic decision, the film becomes an epic tale of love, hope and survival.

In 2001, director Chloe Ruthven got a job in a central London primary school, working with children who were failing in class. Nini and his friend Mario immediately stood out as two, bright adventurous Albanian children, and Chloe began working with them, encouraging them to use her video camera as a way of exploring their own lives.

Over the next seven years, the three develop a special relationship. But as the boys grow up, the lure of the street begins to prove too much, and only the director can stand in its way. This is the disturbing story of two boys growing up in a world where childhood is under threat, and asks fundamental questions about how we view and raise our children.

A landmark feature documentary about astronaut Eileen Collins, the first woman to pilot and command the Space Shuttle.
Eileen’s incredible journey starts with her smalltown beginnings, sees her smash through many glass ceilings, and culminates in four dramatic space shuttle missions, the last being possibly the most dangerous and most important of them all.
At its heart the film is the moving human drama of one family, where a mother’s extraordinary career takes us straight to the big philosophical question of what is the level of acceptable risk in human endeavour?
This film celebrates Commander Collins’ trailblazing NASA career which opened the way for women to become spacecraft pilots and commanders, and proved a perfect riposte to a previous generation of male astronauts who thought there was no place for women to lead the way in space.
Official Selection DOC NYC 2024 - World premiere
Official Selection CPH:DOX 2025 - European premiere
