The Silence of the Heart

Synopsis

Lucas (Adam Napier), a photographer, meets the enigmatic Cleo (Sally Scott) in a small English seaside town. They appear to be on a date. En route to a hotel, they encounter a variety of oddball characters, including a priest who has lost his faith, a travelling salesman and a Shakespeare-quoting drunk. Once at the hotel, however, the real reason for Lucas and Cleo’s meeting starts to become apparent…

Shot in long takes with a fluid camera, culminating in a near-silent final half-hour, Sean Martin’s intense drama is a gripping study of two people bound together by a fatal vow.
