Synopsis
Soames’ book, published in 1979, details her mother’s crucial role in Winston’s political life; he often said England winning World War II would have been “impossible without her.” Fiercely independent, Clementine was known for her aid work across both world wars, organizing canteens for munitions workers during WWI and serving as a chairman of the Red Cross Aid to Russia Fund during WWII as well as chairman of the Fulmer Chase Maternity Hospital for Wives of Junior Officers. She eventually was appointed as Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire.

George Best was one of the greatest footballers who ever lived. But he was so much more than that. Although the football pitch was his arena, Best was essentially a pop star - young, stylish, strikingly beautiful, possessed of a creative confidence that bordered on arrogance, and worshipped by young men and women alike. Like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.<br /> This film is simultaneously a celebration of a genius and an exploration of the demons that brought him down. We all know how these biopics traditionally work: in this case a talented but innocent young man from the backstreets of a divided but still pre-Troubles Belfast, becomes a star. But his time at the top is agonizingly short: a family history of alcoholism doesn’t help, in those pre-drug Sixties everyone wanted to buy him a drink, and before he was thirty, he was a washed up drunk. <br /> But we’re taking the Benjamin Button approach here. No-one wants to go out on a downer, with the end card telling us how many hundreds of thousands lined the streets of his home town to bid him farewell, along with the millions watching on live television.
The Titan Disaster (working title)

Exploring the major mysteries behind the Titan Disaster, when the Titan submersible imploded on a journey to observe the wreck of the Titantic. The tragedy took the lives of five people in the North Atlantic in 2023 and captured the world’s attention. <br /> The documentary explores what exactly went wrong with the submersible that caused it to implode. And why did the inventor of Titan, Stockton Rush, as widely reported, repeatedly dismiss strident safety warnings from submersible experts and even those from his own engineers? Stockton died in the implosion that destroyed Titan; did his previous successful dives to Titanic cause him, like Icarus in Greek mythology, to become overconfident and fly too close to the sun?<br /> Including never-before seen footage of Titan’s previous successful dive to Titanic, and Stockton Rush’s last interview recorded for mainstream TV.
