The UK Films Database is an extensive searchable database of recent UK produced and co-produced feature-length films, short films and XR projects, and a smaller selection of Games and TV Episodic projects. Submit details about your UK Short film, Feature film, XR, Game or Episodic TV project to our UK Films Database to help others find your work.

Is my project eligible for inclusion in the UK Films Database?

To qualify, your project must be British, a UK production, or a UK co-production. We accept database submissions for completed feature-length films, as well as feature-length films that have been announced as being in pre-production, production, or post-production. We only accept database submissions for completed short films. We also accept database submissions for games and TV episodic projects produced by a UK-based company or by a UK-based creative.

You must tick at least one box to submit your information.

My film or XR project is British as defined by the British Film Institute (BFI) criteria.

My film or XR project is an official UK co-production as defined by defined by the British Film Institute (BFI) criteria.

My Game or TV Episodic project is produced by a UK-based company or by a UK-based creative.

Editing your entry

Once your project is listed in the UK Films Database, you can suggest changes and updates by mailing us at films@britishcouncil.org. The British Council has editorial control over all database entries and may update or remove listings.

Production and sales details

Contact information - a name and at least an email address - must be provided in the Production Company and/or Sales Agent sections. This could be the producer’s or director’s contact details. Please note that these details will be published online. If you do not provide this information, we cannot list your project in the UK Films Database.
