A70 is the disturbing yet compelling true story of what happened to Garry and Colin that fateful night and the terrifying events that unfolded over the following months. Based on the reported facts, A70 recounts what at first appears to be a brief encounter with a strange object on a Scottish road, but nightmares and strange visions slowly reveal that something far more sinister occurred during what to them seemed only a few seconds. As the men search for answers their world is ultimately torn apart by what they discovered.

The descendants of the victims of the Soviet's secret nuclear test-site in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan, know having a healthy child is not guaranteed. Deformed children are often abandoned in orphanages. Doctors and scientists blame inherited genetic effects from the radiation down the generations. Now the state response is a proposed scheme to 'clean out' those with bad genes' by preventing them from getting pregnant.

The film follows the city maternity doctor as he enthusiastically pilots the 'genetic passport' scheme. The story begins as a tale being told by a grandfather who works in an old clock shop to his grandson. The voice over takes you to the Victorian time where Ben meets a cleaning woman, Sofi, who comes to clean the Big Ben every week. They start a rather peculiar relationship through the window between them; him inside the clock and her outside. Their love finally becomes physical when the times comes where Ben can get out of the clock for one hour; the only hour of the year he can go outside when the clock changes to the winter time.

After their passionate experience, Sofi starts to want more and more from Ben and starts asking him to get out and live life with her. Ben faces the biggest choice he has to make - commitment for his lifetime work for the people, or his love.
