Synopsis

A spellbinding performance film by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, bringing to life the remarkable story the extraordinary Geraldine Flower, and the discovery of a suitcase of letters sent to her in the 1960s and 70s that inspired acclaimed Icelandic singer/songwriter Emilíana Torrini to return to the studio.
Part film, part theatre, part fever dream — THE EXTRAORDINARY MISS FLOWER takes the form of a series of specially designed performances by Emilíana and her band, combined with dramatic scenes and readings from letters by well-known actors and musicians. It's ultimately a heartfelt love letter to the enduring power of creativity and friendship.

Synopsis

Based on the award-winning book ‘Scala Cinema 1978-1993’ by Jane Giles (FAB Press, 2018) this feature-length big screen documentary tells the riotous inside story of the infamous sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll rep house which inspired a generation during Britain's turbulent Thatcher years.
The film combines 50 new interviews with diverse audience members who went on to become filmmakers, musicians, writers, actors and artists, combined with previously unseen archive material and iconic movie clips.
With its universal themes of youthful discovery and the underdog vs. the establishment, this is no nostalgia trip but rather a film of universal relevance with clear parallels between then and now. Above all, it's a hilarious and joyous celebration of cinema-going.

A psycho-acoustic exploration of electronic music pioneer Delia Derbyshire.
"Radio was the most important thing in my life and music, music, music!" A true pioneer in audio exploration and psycho-acoustics, Delia Derbyshire conceived one of the most familiar compositions in science fiction, the Doctor Who theme, while working in a BBC basement. Her soundscapes felt like they connected to another realm. Kicking off with the discovery of 267 tapes in an attic, along with a treasure trove of journals hidden in her childhood bedroom, this film tunes in to Derbyshire’s frequency; that of a life-long non-conformist, whose peals of laughter in an archive interview tickle with delight and eccentricity. Featuring a rich archive, interviews, fictional embodiment and Cosey Fanni Tutti’s psycho-sonic channelling, director Caroline Catz traces acoustic pathways on her archeological dig into Derbyshire’s resonant life. Synopsis

The Time Master introduces a series of tales about the weird and wonderful things that time can do. Time can send a young, struggling Shakespeare his completed works through a wormhole in space, before he's even written them, and can give Leonardo da Vinci a glimpse into the future.
