An absent young father returns to town to attend his nine year old son's funeral. His glaring failure as a parent makes his presence an unwelcome one, especially with the boy's mother who struggles with her loss and the lack control she has over the funeral arrangements. After drunkenly stealing the coffin both parents find themselves on the road with two friends. What follows is a journey with no destination... just a desperate desire not to return.
