Having chosen the easiest office job he can find, Dan wrongly assumes that no one will have any expectations of him and he can get on with his simple ambition for an easy life. These hopes are wrecked when a misunderstanding with his mother results in his sudden eviction from home and he must resort to secretly living in the call centre with his cat.
A complex web of secrets and lies leads Dan into a series of increasingly bizarre and uncompromising scenarios and he is gradually stripped of everything he has taken for granted: clean clothes, an iPod, friends, and his self respect. His future is on hold, his life is in limbo, and morality has also been temporarily suspended. It is only the fragile blossoming love affair with the one person on the team who is possibly worse off than himself that eventually provides Dan with the courage to create a romantic ending that defies conventional expectations.

Synopsis

11 year old Beanie’s bland life changes forever when Evil Stella and her flaming side-kick Fireboy show up in his back garden one day after school. Evil Stella is after The Golden Nit and kidnaps Beanie’s Mum and Dad thinking they have it.

But this is no ordinary nit. The Golden Nit is the battery that powers the sun and if Beanie doesn’t get it home by sunset the sun will die and the universe is doomed.

Aided by his shouty older sister Beryl, who has been shrunk to the size of a doll by one of Stella’s electric bubbles, Beanie sets out on a crazy adventure to rescue his parents and save the universe.

Armed only with a tube of lazer lip gloss and some blend-in pants, their quest takes them across galaxies via a superhero supermarket, through wormholes, and up the Hairy Scary River escaping from moody mermaids and gold-thirsty pirates along the way. Beanie is helped, and hindered, by Ten Heart Hero who isn’t quite the hero Beanie first thinks he is. When it comes down to it – there really is only one hero who can save the day!

Synopsis

A Time And A Time is a film constructed entirely from archive footage shot in Bristol over the last century. Three specific locations are chosen and filmed images from these geographical points are cut up and reassembled so that we recreate the place with people and buildings and vehicles that span time.

A 21st century office worker crosses a road that has just been blitzed, a woman from 1910 watches a man on a mobile phone kick a football. The distance that time creates is removed and these people are reunited in location.
