Synopsis

It's Cherry's birthday and she's excited about spending it with her family, but they're all too caught up in their own worlds to realise. The smaller Cherry feels, the smaller she gets - will she disappear altogether? A little bit of attention goes a long way when you're only 2 centimetres tall.

Synopsis

Christine and Mike are your average parents. They live in an ordinary house on a regular street with their teenage son Sebastian. It's early evening and like many working parents there's still dinner to prepare, a phone call to be made and a bottle of wine to be opened. They settle in and unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

There's a knock at the front door.

A married couple's night is interrupted when a group of teenagers break into the house and take them hostage, waiting for the son to come home. The teenagers want revenge for the son having grassed up their cousin.

Cinema Museum comprises four nine minute shots of a tour guide leading us around the labyrinthine corridors of a vast private collection of movie ephemera. The guide’s soft, measured voice soothes the ear while our eyes gawp at a teeming archive verging on chaos.

The camera sets out with the stealth of a Stanley Kubrick Steadicam shot, but it soon begins to drift. As the guide walks ahead, the camera lingers over drawers marked ‘Gulag Guns’, boxes of fanzine clippings, spare parts for projectors and bits of Art Deco signage.

After years in India, working as a missionary, Reverend Densham returns to England to take up the post of vicar in the remote and insular Cornish village of Warleggan on Bodmin Moor. Influenced by the Indian culture, and in particular the work of Gandhi, Densham tries to spread the word to a prejudiced, uneducated and fiercely traditional community. The result is a clash of understanding which leads to a bizarre and tragic series of events and ultimately totals ostracism of Densham from the community.
