The actor plays the writer experimenting/pontificating the different uses for 8mls of ink. If life is only 8mls - what will you do with yours? A visual post modern treat made on one roll of super8, editing in camera, the audio made independently of seeing the exposed film.

This is Tomorrow is the latest collaboration between film-maker Paul Kelly and pop band Saint Etienne, and is the result of the year they spent as artists in residence at the Royal Festival Hall. It is a journey into the past and the future of this internationally renowned and much-loved architectural space and its epic refurbishment. The film features interviews with people who have made major contributions to the building and its architecture, including designer Robin Day, original architects Trevor Dannatt and Jim Cadbury-Brown, Southbank Centre's current artistic director Jude Kelly, artist Jeremy Deller and author Alain De Botton as well as builders, manufacturers, local residents and Southbank Centre staff.

Natalie and Adam sing their love for one another. After work they meet a mysterious woman. She gives them a special candle and then disappears. They make their way home and then make love. Next morning tired and late, they decide to run to work, when a drunk driver kills Adam. Months later, Natalie (now pregnant) has a remembrance dinner and from a the special candle comes a shadow of the dead man. The shadow follows her around and tries to get her attention, but is unable to until it lies beside her in bed. She reaches out and thinks she feels its presence. As soon as this happens, the candle goes out and the shadow disappears. All she wishes is for her husband to be back with her again. A little time later, Natalie gives birth to a boy who is her late husband reborn. And so she gets her wish.

Whilst on a Rockefeller Foundation residency in Bellagio, Italy the artist meticulously recorded her experience through photography, text and video to create an installation that takes us on a disembodied journey through the labyrinthine gardens and ruins overlooking Lake Como. The passage of time, light, and people is central to this work where location and landscape become devices to explore enclosure and isolation - both physical and psychological states. Intersecting paths open out into seemingly impossible locations, mysterious doors set into the rock reveal secret passageways, and as the cicadas call, a sense of languor gives way to obsession and an unravelling of sanity. Synopsis

Most of the source footage for “Camouflage with White Shirt” is selected from “Man with a Mission”, a TV documentary about Tony Blair. For the first six minutes, image and sound are cut and alternated to create a flicker effect with a rhythmic soundtrack, only snatches of it intelligible. The second part offsets Blair inspecting troops against Hugh Grant making his famous speech from “Love Actually”. In the third part, Peter Mandelson’s voice is heard praising Blair, against a shot of a wall in Berlin with an anti US/UK slogan painted on it in English.

Synopsis

Sequences of frames, sampled from a Big Brother broadcast on Channel 4 television, are repeated three times each in rhythmic succession. Nothing is slowed down or speeded up, but movement becomes unreal and fractured, parts of spoken words tumble out into a new stream of image and sound, and 'reality television' begins to look like Pop Art.
