Filmed over a period of five months, 2Be follows students from Abbeydale Grange School in Sheffield, UK - a school where over 51 different languages are spoken - as they develop a series of musical sequences about human rights.
 
The contrast between their revealing personal stories and triumphant performances creates an intimate and inspiring documentary.

Synopsis

9 Songs takes place in London in the autumn of 2003. Lisa is an American, studying in London for a year. Matt, a glaciologist, meets her at a rock concert at the Brixton Academy and falls in love with her. The film follows their domestic and physical relationship and includes music from the concerts they go to together: Black Rebel Morotcycle Club, The Von Bondies, Elbow, Primal Scream, The Dandy Warhols, Super Furry Animals, Franz Ferdinand, Michael Nyman.

In between the music and the bands we see Matt and Lisa making love. The film follows their love affair until Christmas, when Lisa leaves London and returns to America.
 

Synopsis

Brothers of the Head  is the story of conjoined twins Tom and Barry Howe - a freak show turned proto-punk sensation.

As teenagers in the early 1970s, the Howe twins were plucked from obscurity by a music promoter who groomed them into a rock-and-roll act. Against all expectations, the boys - performing as The Bang-Bang - quickly appropriated their status as 'freaks' and spat it back in the form of searing, aggressive rock.
Grasping at the truth from an array of often unreliable accounts, the story follows the twins as they negotiate love, artistic rivalry, and the cruel suppression of their unique voice.

Brothers of the Head  investigates our impulse to celebrate the extraordinary, and our tragic compulsion to claim, de-mystify and destroy it.

He plays guitar and sings whilst dangling upside-down from a lamp post in London's Covent Garden district. His audience give their reactions, he explains the logic underlying his performance.

Initially conceived as a way of channelling the money allocated to pop promos into something more substantial, it became in every sense an independent production. Its development is unique: early sequences were projected as live visuals behind the band on their last tour, while the film has played recently to cinema audiences in London, Madrid, Vancouver and Tokyo.

Suddenly, the video changes tone, incorporating an extract from a television broadcast with rather more political and social consequences for us all.

Ghost & The Crystal  is a re-working in video clips from a film made by Stuart Pound almost thirty years ago. The new technology and the old examine each other with mock-cinematic effects of colour, contrast and movement. The soundtrack is contemporary music played on a traditional instrument of popular entertainment, the hurdy-gurdy.
