Whilst conducting research on tissue regeneration, a geneticist stumbles on the secret for cheating death. When she is 'killed,' her work stolen, and her daughter kidnapped, she sets out to get it all back whatever the cost.

Synopsis

A cataclysmic event has blackened the sky plunging the earth into an endless winter. Toxic clouds have turned the rain to acid, crops can't grow and the human race is all but extinct. Deep in the dying forest a young man (JAKE) and his FATHER eke out an existence scavenging the wreckage of the former world. Though their lives are bleak they have each other. When Jake's girlfriend is struck down by an infection, everything falls apart. A group of violent cannibals descend on their safe haven and murder Father. Jake is forced to abandon the camp in search of medicine and embark on a treacherous journey, battling the elements, wild dogs and fighting his Father's murderers to the death. He must make it back in time to save his girlfriend or he loses everything.

A debt ridden down on their luck couple decide to take control of their destiny by kidnapping a backbench politician. Only there’s one big problem - his wife refuses to pay the ransom. However, just as they’re about to let him go, he offers to pay the money himself as long as they keep him hostage, knowing how good the publicly is for his political profile. October 2019, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk (UK). Three months before Brexit. Hundreds of Portuguese migrant workers pour into town, seeking work at the local turkey factories. Tania, who calls herself The Mother of the Portuguese, is a former worker in these factories. She is now married to an Englishman and works as a facilitator, arranging for new arrivals from Portugal to be accommodated in her husband's decaying hotels. She dreams of transforming these hotels into refurbished retirement homes, and the tragic death of a worker who owed her husband money only makes her more desperate to change her life. But when the worker's brother arrives in town seeking answers, Tania finds herself unexpectedly attracted to him, and she must decide where her loyalties lie.

On the 15th September 2011 an unarmed and wounded Taliban insurgent was shot in the chest by a British Royal Marine, who went on to tell his men that he “just broke the Geneva Convention”. With an exclusive interview with Alexander Blackman, known to most as Marine A, it reveals the story of that one day in Helmand. The 1x90’ feature documentary includes never seen before, recently recovered, combat footage, and many who have never spoken on camera before, Marine A takes audiences into the dark heart of those minutes in battle and the ensuing four-year legal campaign that his wife waged to set him free.

Two hands, Glynid and Hynus, are trapped together indoors. As they talk, we learn that they are waiting for a virus wreaking havoc in the outer world. Glynid is an anxiety-riddled know–it–all who dogmatically follows ‘the science,’ while Hynus is an ignoramus whose nonsensical belligerence highlights their absurd situation. They argue over what precautions to take, what the statistics mean, and how to pass the time. Endless desperate moves ensue as the pair attend a virtual Shibari workshop, create pubic hair art, compose a virus-themed anthem, and partake in cleansings and poisonings, before remembering they have a child that they may have accidentally left outside. Deciding to leave to find the child, they stay. This puppet show, drawing from Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, satirizes the Covid-19 era. Connected to the outside by a window that doubles as a screen, what begins as a waiting game soon unravels into paranoiac exchanges, conspiratorial musings, and bouts of reflection that lead to self–loathing in one hand and self–care in the other. As the objects that once held meaning to them disappear while they wait, a new reality grows around them, if only they had eyes to see it.

Since losing her job to Covid-19, Sophie is now manager come roadie come photographer for her wannabe rock-star husband Paul. Swindled out of money and cancelled gigs these young lovers find themselves in debt and priced out of their hometown - London. Leaving London behind they head to the coast to stay with a mate but things don’t work out and to top it off their beloved 2CV car gets towed away and they have to give up their beloved black labrador Maisy. With heavy hearts but never losing their sense of humour or love for each other they spend their first night sleeping outside under the stars. But life on the streets quickly loses its romantic appeal as they are faced with choices that threaten to change their lives. Forever.
