From Baptism to Last Rites, following Father Paul Grogan as he tends to his parish in a deprived area of Bradford, aware of the need to re-establish trust in the clergy of the Roman Catholic Church.

What happens when two gay men in a disintegrating relationship leave the city to spend some time alone, together in nature? Is it possible for nature to reveal the truth, their true essence and help them change? Can these two wounded men; traumatised, hurt, lost and desperate on a remote beach find a way back to innocence? Is there a way back to back to love?
Their relationship was formed against fear and loneliness. They fell in love, but they can’t handle love. They’ve both made mistakes, poisoning their relationship through secrets and lies. They suffer when together, but they can’t be apart.
During their time on the beach they gradually expose their feelings and release their emotions. They rediscover their love for each other and more importantly, for themselves. By allowing some time to decompress, and with a newly acquired affection for the beautiful world that surrounds them, they come to understand that they do love each other. Living within nature makes everything seem clear. Can they go back into the world with the hope that things will change?

Synopsis

When London busker Barney inherits a tumbledown cottage in a rundown Spanish village, all he wants to do is sell it, and go back home – before the villagers discover that he is the son of the man who ruined the village in the first place.
But to sell the house, Barney needs money to fix it up. So with help from local musician Paloma (and despite her ex-boyfriend’s interference), he sets about reforming the village band, aiming to win some prize money in an upcoming competition.

In post-war England, journalist Stephen Underwood is keen to prove his worth. Working for a local newspaper he spends his days covering weddings and funerals while always on the lookout for a story that will catapult him into the big league. When he comes across the suicide of a Polish soldier from a nearby Displaced Persons Camp his journalistic instincts kick in, sensing something isn’t quite right, and his first port of call is to question Colonel Janusz Pietrowski, a Liaison Officer for the re-settlement of Polish troops under British command. Stephen’s lover is Jeanette Mitchell, a Junior Commander in the Auxiliary Territorial Service working under Captain John Underwood, Stephen’s brother.
