Synopsis

Amy lives on an island off the coast of Scotland where not a lot happens but the good news is that she is leaving for the big city and university. She gets a camcorder and begins documenting her new life with new friends.

She soon befriends the other girls in her halls and they have a lot of fun together. She becomes particularly close to Clare who seems to have some dark secrets in her past and only trusts Amy. The relationships between the girls develop and intensify and Amy starts to change in ways she did not expect.

Clare persuades Amy to play pranks on one of the other girls in the flat, but as Clare's methods become more extreme Amy starts to doubt the sanity of her new friend. There will be blood, seduction, murder and terror before Amy finally has to confront her friend.

Synopsis

'Frank' is a black comedy about a man who just doesn't fit in. He's fallen between the cracks he is always trying to avoid. We join him on his personal journey to hell and back, accompanied by a neurotic and opinionated couple of corpses and the map reader of his life and only friend, a young girl called Sasha.

Based on the life of Sarah Winchester and the Winchester Mystery House, Fulll Firearms presents the story of Imelda, a woman haunted by the victims of the guns sold in her father’s company. She uses her inheritance to work with an architect who builds a house for these ghosts. When a group of people squat her half finished building Imelda is convinced that they are the ghosts that she expected.

The narrative touches upon themes of displacement and storytelling, and stands in the tradition of melodrama. The characters find themselves constantly having to adjust their expectations of each other so that they might be able to communicate within each other’s logic. In her films, Emily Wardill creates situations that examine conditions of precarity in society and how these affect people’s relationships with each other. Her films are fostered by improvisations and workshop sessions, that are set up by the artist to develop themes and characters in a collaborative manner.

“The house in the film produces an echo, because those who occupy it articulate their voices in relation to the making and writing of a history. Tracing the echoes of actions through the production of social spaces does not remain solely within the diegesis of the film. Synopsis

Newly homeless, Gracie is about to commit suicide. But at the last moment, as she hovers over the railings of Waterloo Bridge, a young woman, Ellie, runs onto the bridge. She begs Gracie to help her escape from a pursuer who’s just yards behind.
