Adam Lyal (a pale-faced ghost) has stood in three consecutive Scottish Parliamentary Elections. This documentary follows his progress to Election Day 2007, when an automated count replaced the manual system with far-reaching consequences.

The poet Hafez, also known as the ‘Teller of Secrets’, used the language of human love and the metaphors of wine and drunkenness to describe his desire for the Divine and intoxication with the mysteries of the Universe. The media usually present a narrow view of Iran. The film gives some insight into the depth and sophistication of Iranian [Persian] culture. The landscapes and characters in the film are entirely constructed of Persian calligraphy.

With the weather increasingly at the forefront of our news and media together with the idea that someone somewhere has their hand on the volume knob, End of the Street takes the original 19th Century Beaufort Wind Force scale and conjures a response, incrementally turning up the strangeness. Poet and broadcaster Ian McMillan produced the poetry specially. His interpretation of the wind scale transposes the action into the familiar surroundings of an average street. Imagemaker Andy Martin produces a mix of animated graphics, 3D, live action, photography and typographics all underpinned with a bespoke score by composer Robert Worby.
