Synopsis

A woman discovers that she has a distant but personal relationship to a historic building in Berlin and embarks on a journey into the past. One that turns out to be much more alive, ambiguous and unpredictable than expected. A contemporary visual quest at the intersection between fiction and non-fiction.

Lil, a young mother, struggles to connect with her newborn baby. Ashamed and exhausted, she tells no one not even her domineering mother, Judith. But something terrifying already senses the void between them. When the family relocates to Judith’s childhood home, isolated deep in the countryside, buried tensions erupt and old secrets surface.
