A Mistaken Obsession

A Mistaken Obsession

Synopsis

A neo-noir thriller set against the backdrop of early 2000s Manchester, a city alive with music, fashion and restless youth. At its heart is a close-knit group of students who live for the nightlife, drifting between pubs, clubs and endless parties. Their world shifts when Lois, an old friend of Cat, suddenly reappears. With her beauty, confidence and enigmatic charm, she unsettles the group and immediately captures the attention of James.

What begins as fascination quickly spirals into fixation. James becomes enthralled by Lois, unable to resist the pull she exerts on everyone around her.
In the end, obsession consumes him, and James finds himself a pawn in something larger and darker than he imagined — a violent game of chess he never agreed to play.

Lord of the Flies Lord of the Flies

Director: Marc Munden

Year: 2026

Adapted from the 1954 novel by William Golding, the story of a group of young schoolboys who find themselves stranded on a Pacific island following a deadly plane crash during a nuclear war. In an attempt to remain civil, the boys organise themselves, led by Ralph and supported by the group’s intellectual, Piggy. But as the youngest members begin to share sightings of a terrifying beast, hunter Jack begins to wrestle for leadership. Jack Thorne’s adaptation marks the first time 'Lord of the Flies' has been brought to television. Faithful to the original novel, the series delves further into the book’s emotive themes: human nature, the loss of innocence and boyhood masculinity. Each of the four episodes is titled after a character at the core of the story – Ralph, Piggy, Simon and Jack – offering a subtly different perspective on the boys’ collective plight and manner in which they cope with their predicament. Director: Burak Çevik

Year: 2026

At midnight, two lab assistants study an unknown substance using machines and procedures that are unclear to us. They pursue knowledge through the strict logic of the laboratory. As exhaustion settles in, one of the assistants brews Turkish coffee for the other, and the night shifts. The process becomes a fortune-telling, and the scientific gaze gives way to intuition. Moving from analysis to foresight, the two women imagine another method of knowing, a space where rational inquiry and intuitive perception coexist.
