Jeff thinks his latest novel is a monumental work of staggering genius. But before he can send it off to his agent he feels the need for outside affirmation. When someone suggests he tries an artificial intelligence named CHAT-E to review the book, Jeff initially baulks at the idea. But when no-one else offers him a critique, he uploads his novel to the server. Within seconds CHAT-E is heaping praise on Jeff. When Jeff digs a little deeper, however, he doesn't like what he hears. Unable to let the negative feedback go, Jeff starts a confrontation with the all-knowing AI. One he quickly learns he cannot win.
