Feline

Synopsis

David, a somewhat naive young man, has found what appears to be the perfect summer job as a grounds keeper on a lavish country estate. He has the summer to himself and the opportunity to contemplate the next stage of his life. Only David isn’t alone and when he meets James, a charismatic manipulator; and Grace, the beautiful, enigmatic but complex daughter of the homeowners, David’s solitary summer begins to darken. James and Grace are keen to have fun, only this isn’t the kind of innocent fun that David is used to and events soon begin to take a sinister turn…

Production Note
'Feline' is the first feature-length film to be produced by a team of National Film and Television School students for their graduation piece. Despite being constrained by the same limits of time and money as the other seven short film projects that were produced by NFTS graduation students at the school that year, the 'Feline' team used those same resources to create a 75-minute feature film.

Public House Public House

Director: Martin Clark

Year: 2026

Brave as whiskey Bold as brass A laugh like a bell And a warmth unmatched, built hearth upon hearth Your house rumbles Excerpt - 'The Public House Rumbles' by Alexandra Ewing Shot in the single location of a Glaswegian pub, PUBLIC HOUSE is a sequence of vignettes, some characters recurring and others not, just like real life. A myriad of eccentric and troubled souls pass through, looking for a drink, solace, a conversation, someone to love, an audience, sex, an explanation, revenge, or just a place to be. The film delves deeper than the sum of it’s parts, asking existential questions. How did we end up here? Why do we do what we do? Should we try something else? Ultimately the film is about committing to something. To an idea, a place, an affair, grief, a philosophy, family, a tall tale, loss, love, a joke, a friend or simply trying to make it through the day.
