Synopsis

On the eve of retirement a middle class, judgmental snob discovers her husband has been having an affair with her best friend. Shocked, she finds her aspirational world turned upside down as she approaches the 'third age' of her life.
Unable to deal with what she considers the shame of her predicament, she goes into exile with her estranged bohemian sister, who lives on an impoverished inner-city council estate and is a keen member of a senior citizens dance group based at London’s Sadler's Wells.
