Kill Your Friends

Synopsis

London, 1997; the British music industry is on a winning streak. Britpop bands Blur, Oasis, The Verve rule the airwaves and Cool Britannia is in full swing. 27-year-old A&R man Steven Stelfox is slashing and burning his way through the music business, a world where 'no one knows anything' and where careers are made and broken by chance and the fickle tastes of the general public. Fuelled by greed, ambition and inhuman quantities of drugs, Stelfox lives the dream, as he searches for his next hit record. But as the hits dry up and the industry begins to change, Stelfox takes the concept of "killer tunes" to a murderous new level in a desperate attempt to salvage his career.

Holy Flying Circus Holy Flying Circus

Director: Owen Harris

Year: 2011

Holy Flying Circus is a fantastical re-imagining of the events leading up to Michael Palin and John Cleese’s appearance on the BBC’s Friday Night Saturday Morning to defend their film Life of Brian against charges of blasphemy. Not only is it a bold and entertaining homage to one of the world’s greatest comedy teams but it is also incredibly pertinent as the debate about freedom of speech and what is an acceptable subject matter for comedy rages on.

No Women No Children No Women No Children

Director: Akporé Uzoh

The aftermath of a sexual assault (rape). Exploring the deep-felt consequences for all involved. At its heart an epic story of a couple's fight for the survival of their love.

A sleepwalking Emma comes face to face with a mysterious entity The Wilding

Director: Adam Park

Year:

Told through leaked footage compiled by a whistle-blower, the film follows Emma and Richard, a couple thrust into the wilderness to survive for 100 days. Their confidence quickly turns to terror as a malevolent creature begins stalking them, ultimately killing Richard in a gruesome attack. Emma escapes and infiltrates the facility where the show's creators review their "progress." There, she discovers the chilling truth: the creature is part of their unholy science. With the odds stacked against her, Emma turns the tables - delivering brutal justice with unexpected aid from the very horror that was meant to destroy her. A darkly satirical blend of horror, sci-fi, and mockumentary, THE WILDING exposes the monstrous extremes the powerful will go to cheat death - and the human cost of their ambition.
