These were the babies born at the beginning of the twentieth century, amongst them Rosa Mintz, daughter of immigrants, who served in the Red Cross with the Allies liberating Belsen concentration camp and Gai Eaton, entering his eighth decade when we encountered him still working at the Central London Mosque. This is a celebration of the diverse community of older Britons.

Long Night's Journey into Day is a disturbing documentary about the poignant grief expressed by the youth of Israel, who, after all, will be the next generation of soldiers; of their love for Rabin, who they knew was determined to end all wars in the Middle East forever, and their creation of a secular Wailing Wall via graffiti, in Kikar Rabin - as well as a look at the furious shift in Israeli thinking after the four Hamas bombs in February to March (Jerusalem, Ashqelon and Tel Aviv), which Carol Gould experienced first-hand. By May the populace - even the youth - wanted all-out war, and some wanted the death of Shimon Peres.

Founded in 2004 by Damon Albarn and Ian Birrell, the UK music collective Africa Express has spent two decades bringing artists together across borders. In February 2024 it arrived in the Americas for the first time. Over eight days in Las Estacas, Mexico, more than 60 musicians from Africa, Latin America, Europe and the United States came together to rehearse, perform and create an album from scratch. Following Africa Express from Mexico through Europe and back, the film becomes a poetic journey through music, memory and imagination, celebrating the power of collaboration and community as reality slowly blurs with fantasy. With no single protagonist, the collective itself is the main character and music is its language. Africa Express is a portrait of a fleeting community and of what strangers from different worlds can build when they truly listen to each other.
