Synopsis

Despite the success of the national football team in Qatar, Argentina is on a knife edge - its political divisions are widening, its economy is in freefall and the IMF is yet again knocking on the door. The country, it seems, needs a steady hand on the tiller, someone willing and able to turn the country around once and for all. Mauricio Macri, the former president, thinks he’s the man for the job. But will his family let him return to frontline politics? It’s a battle between Mauricio’s ego and pride.
Juliana, Mauricio’s wife, is adamant: he will not run for the presidency again. Once was enough, she says. The recent assassination attempt on Argentina’s vice-president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, has shown the political stakes. Their family must come first. Mauricio’s head - or ego - tells him otherwise; he still wants and needs to prove his father wrong.
With access to his family, political team and American advisors, Dynasty will be an unprecedented look at the highest level of politics, showcasing a man on the brink of making the toughest decision of his life: country or family?
