Synopsis
In a series of hilariously awkward and tender moments, Rhona struggles to carve out a space for herself while her father fumbles with how to help her grow up. Life on the farm may be unpredictable, but Rhona is determined to make her moment happen - no matter how many chickens end up in her bed.

Traditionally a young male protagonist, the character is conventionally played by a woman in drag. Using and subverting traditional British pantomime conventions, PRINCIPAL BOY explores the presence and absence of trans and gender-nonconforming people in mainstream culture, including film and stage productions.
